Description

The U.S. Consulate General, Kolkata will host a three day ‘hackathon’ in Ranchi, Jharkhand or another designated city in West Bengal, India as part of our efforts to combat GBV through digital empowerment. A hackathon is a social computer coding event that lasts several hours or days and brings together computer programmers and others to improve upon or build new software programs. The end goal of this hackathon would be to design a comprehensive user centric and sustainable mobile app to that helps non-governmental organizations (NGOs), law enforcement, and other stake holders combat all forms of gender-based violence (GBV).
