The intent of the Community Partners in Suicide Prevention Outreach and Education (CPSPOE) is to address Section 706 by supporting outreach and education to such members, their families and caregivers, and the public about suicide prevention, mental health and substance use disorders and traumatic brain injury that relate to research on the causes, development, and innovative treatment of mental health, substance use disorders, TBI, and suicide prevention in members of the National Guard and Reserves, their family members, and their caregivers. The focus of the CPSPOE is on outreach and education only; proposed projects should NOT include other research or treatment efforts. Outreach and education should be carried out by or in collaboration with community partners. Community partners as referenced in Section 706 are private non-profit organizations or institutions that engage in (1) research on the causes, development, and innovative treatment; (2) identifying and disseminating evidence-based treatments; and/or (3) outreach and education for mental health, substance use disorders, TBI, and suicide prevention in members of the National Guard and Reserves, their family members, and their caregivers. Total amount of funding available for grants resulting from this Broad Agency Announcement is $5M.The minimum amount for awards recommended under this BAA is $500K.The maximum amount for awards recommended under this BAA is $2.5M.The Government reserves the right to select for discussions all, some, one, or none of the proposals received in response to this Funding Opportunity. The Government anticipates making award without discussions, therefore, Applications (and supporting documentation) shall be their best. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if it is determined by the Grants Officer to be necessary. The Government reserves the right to accept Applications (and supporting documentation) in their entirety or to select only portions of Applications for award. In the event that the Government desires to award only portions of a proposal, discussions may be opened with that Applicant. The Government reserves the right to request additional documentation once the Applicant has been recommended for award. The Government reserves the right to remove proposers from award consideration should the parties fail to reach agreement on award terms within a reasonable time or the proposer fails to provide requested additional information in a timely manner.
