Description
The U.S. Embassy Islamabad Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce funding is available through the Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Grants program. This Annual Program Statement solicits proposals for the following three separate categories:1. Public Diplomacy Large Grants: Projects that strengthen civil society, support economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, foster regional stability, or support public sector institutions, in support of to the U.S. Embassy’s public diplomacy programmatic priorities, with a budget ceiling of $300,000, project duration of one to two years, implemented in any area of Pakistan;2. Public Diplomacy Small Grants: Projects that expand media engagement, strengthen people-to-people ties, or build and strengthen local partners, in support of the public diplomacy priorities of the U.S. Consulates General in Lahore and Karachi, with a budget ceiling of $50,000, project duration of up to one year, implemented in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and AJK Provinces; 3. Community Engagement Grants: Projects that counter violent extremism in support of the priorities of the Community Engagement Office (CEO) of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, with a budget ceiling of $300,000, project duration of one to two years, implemented in any area of Pakistan. Applications may be submitted at any time for consideration before the closing date of this annual program statement on July 6, 2015. Proposals must respond to only one of the three categories. Specific programming guidelines and requirements for each category are distinct, and are outlined in the background section below.
