Description

The Sustain Our Great Lakes program is a public-private partnership among Arcelor Mittal, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S.D.A. Forest Service, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and Natural Resources Conservation Service. Its mission is to sustain, restore and protect fish, wildlife and habitat in the Great Lakes basin by leveraging funding, building conservation capacity, and focusing partners and resources toward key ecological issues. There is not an application process for this funding opportunity. This is a notice of intent to award a single source grant to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to administer the Sustain Our Great Lakes Program under justification 505DM 2.14 B.(4). The applicant, NFWF, is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as a congressionally formalized relationship between the Service and NFWF, region-specific grant-making expertise, and prior leadership with the Sustain Our Great Lakes program. Competition for the award is not practical as NFWF is the one uniquely qualified partner able to administer the grants associated with this project.
