Ocean Connectors Bird and Habitat Study
ArchivedFish and Wildlife Service
Description
The mission of Ocean Connectors is to educate, inspire, and connect underserved youth living in Pacific coastal communities through the study of migratory wildlife. Ocean Connectors builds a bridge between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) and the local community. Next year, 1,000 National City schoolchildren will visit urban refuges and get a chance to work one-on-one with FWS biologists and habitat experts. This unique mentorship opportunity connects urban residents with the incredible natural resources in their own backyard, San Diego Bay.
