Description

The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department, or we), announces the availability of approximately $4,500,000 total costs for one or more cooperative agreements to fund a technical assistance project(s) in Côte d’Ivoire to reduce child labor, through an integrated area-based approach, in cocoa growing areas of Côte d’Ivoire, with a focus on child labor in cocoa production. The project will assist cocoa growing communities to design and implement Community Action Plans (CAPs) to address child labor at the community level. The project will also seek to promote educational opportunities for children, including formal and non-formal education and life skills training for youth under age 18; to support access to school feeding programs; and to improve the safety of children attending and traveling to and from school. The duration of the project will be a maximum of four years (48 months) from the effective date of the award.
