Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SINGLE SOURCE, AND THERE IS NO FULL ANNOUNCEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) intends to award a cooperative agreement seeks to permanently protect and incorporate into Refuge ownership and management a strategic tract, consisting of forested palustrine wetlands. Specifically, NAWCA funds dedicated to project seeks to leverage partnerships and conservation easement lands to acquire strategic parcels for the USFWS Lowcountry Refuge Complex that will advance adaptation and resilience in the face of climate change. The project is located in the Atlantic Coast Joint Venture���s (ACJV) Upper Waccamaw Waterfowl Focus Areas and significantly contributes to the goals of the national and regional bird conservation plans.
