Description

The objective of this FOA is to invite qualified youth or conservation corps to leverage their money and resources by cost-sharing employment, education and engagement opportunities for youth ages 16 to 25 to perform, in a cost effective manner, appropriate conservation projects on Reclamation lands where such projects will not or cannot be performed by existing employees. Youth may also assist Reclamation in performing research and public education tasks associated with natural and cultural resources. Projects performed under a Youth Conservation Master Cooperative Agreement (Youth Conservation MCA) will expose young men and women to public service while furthering their appreciation of the Nation’s natural and cultural resources.Award of one or more Youth Conservation MCAs may be made as a result of this competitive FOA. Under a Youth Conservation MCA, Reclamation and the recipient will cooperatively develop individual task agreements (Task Agreements) detailing project descriptions, locations and the amount of funding to be provided by Reclamation.
