Description

The purpose of the cooperative agreement is to conduct epidemiologic, clinical, field and laboratory research on important human infectious diseases, with an emphasis on HIV/AIDS, Malaria, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, zoonotic diseases, neglected tropical diseases, Tuberculosis, Influenza and other diseases with pandemic potential. Also included are possible environmental health issues, chronic diseases, birth defects and developmental disabilities, maternal and child health, public health preparedness, bio-safety, and injury control and prevention.
