Description

The USGS is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research in simulating future spatial urban growth (out to at least the year 2065) in the Yadkin/PeeDee and Cape Fear River basins of North and South Carolina, with an emphasis on the coastal areas of these basins. The researchers will be required to work closely with researchers from the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center working on the USGS National Water Census Coastal Carolinas Water-Availability Study and provide GIS data that are consistent with the 2011 National Land Cover Dataset (NLCD) format.
