ArchivedNational Park Service
Description
This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service (NPS) intention to fund a Task Agreement against an existing Master Agreement. The Teaching Traditional Building/Landscape Skills Training Project will expand an existing partnership based on service learning projects between Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and SEEDS/NWMYCC youth projects (ages 16-25). This expanded program will include teaching traditional skills that could provide a career opportunity, supplement incomes, and healthy avocations for youth. The project is based on the transfer and practice of skills through hands-on and personalized mentor-apprentice relationships working in crews completing projects addressed for their progressive skill levels.
