Description

The United States Government supports the anti-corruption reforms proposed by the Lao Government, specifically efforts to strengthen the capacity of the the State Inspection and Anti-Corruption Committee (SIAA). To this end, the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) supports training opportunities and workshops to increase the understanding of the SIAA officials on the United Nations Convention Against Corruption and the Financial Action Task Force as well as best practices to develop internal systems and utilize resources to detect, investigate, prosecute, and recover money from corruption.
