This announcement is to further build and strengthen LIONS@FRICA’s strategic partnerships with the private sector, and to develop and implement strategies and programs with the goal of making the LIONS@FRICA partnership a leading influencer in the African innovation and technology start-up space. The award recipient will facilitate collaboration with the private sector that enhances startup access to investors, mentors and finance, and boosts existing LIONS@FRICA initiatives such as DEMO AFRICA, afriCoderDojo, and the African Business Angels Network (ABAN). The cooperative agreement will support programming to expand the LIONS@FRICA partnership footprint and continue providing African startups with access to capacity building and training in business development, connectivity to global innovation grids, promoting access to capital, creating opportunities for partnership, and showcasing best practices and successes in African-led innovation solutions.
