Description

This is not a request for applications. This is just an announcement that this recipient has already been selected to work on Collaborative Conservation, Protect, Outreach, and Education efforts with the NPS. Specifically, the recipient will: • Work collaboratively with NPS and the Maine Indian Tribes to develop materials for public audiences about the history, culture, ethnography, and archeology of the Maine Tribes. Such services are to be provided on a task agreement basis. • Provide appropriate staff when under task agreements, to cooperate and participate in research and instruction in areas of mutual interest. • Review, synthesize, and translate/communicate existing data on archaeological and ethnographic resources related to the Maine Indian Tribes on Mount Desert Island for public use and learning. • Provide technical support and educational materials to the park to assist with interpretation of Maine Indian history, cultural ethnography, and archaeology. • Provide opportunities for student interns to receive training in museum studies that would integrate with training opportunities at the park.
