THIS IS NOT A RFP-THIS IS A NOTICE OF SINGLE SOURCE AWARD ONLY This single source award is being issued to provide financial assistance to combat the spread of quagga mussels (Dreissena rostriformis bugensis) in the state of Arizona. Invasive quagga mussels (Dreissena rostriformis bugensis) pose a significant threat to water bodies in the United States. Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) are threatening the publicâ¿¿s angling and boating recreation opportunities and our utilities (water and electrical) infrastructure. It is critical for watercraft owners and operators to understand the essential nature of the aquatic invasive species containment efforts of Federal and State agencies including the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), and Arizona Game and Fish Department (AGFD). The spread of quagga mussels and other aquatic invasive species potentially has far-reaching impacts, both financial and ecological, that can affect virtually everyone.
