Description

South Sudan achieved independence in July 2011 and descended into conflict in 2013. The country’s HIV/AIDS response is largely donor funded. CDC funded the project “Strengthening Systems, Capacity, and Data Collection with Focus on Strategic Information” from September 30, 2012 to March 31, 2017. The project achieved development of HIV/AIDS strategic information (SI) and capacity strengthening plan, some progress in HIV/AIDS monitoring and surveillance/surveys.
