Description

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) seeks to improve clinical services among People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in the Central America Region including Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.This project will require joint collaboration between the Ministry of Health (MOH), other governmental entities, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in order to effectively reach the target population and support sustainable clinical services. This collaboration will create comprehensive services for PLHIV, including opportunistic infections diagnosis and treatment initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART).The key components to an effective treatment and care services are: 1) a rapid diagnosis of opportunistic infections and 2) easy access to available and affordable friendly clinical and care services.
