Strengthening the Capacity of Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) in Accelerating a Comprehensive and Integrated Approach to Providing HIV/AIDS/TB/STI Care, Treatment and Prevention Services in Zambia under PEPFAR

Description
This FOA will support (strengthen) Faith Based Organizations in Zambia to provide support for HIV/AIDS service delivery in facilities that serve the religious communities (in facilities and communities they serve). Overall, this FOA will aim to support the Government of Zambia’s response towards sustainable HIV epidemic control by: a) reducing new HIV infections, b) reducing morbidity and mortality among adults and children living with HIV; and c) strengthening health support systems. The awardee will be required to implement a core package of prevention, care, treatment, and laboratory services; this will result in reduced HIV transmission risk and improved quality of HIV clinical care. The awardee will ensure continuum of care through linkages between community and facility services with documentation of clinical outcomes. The awardee will be expected to support in-service training and mentorship through innovative, and cost efficient models and health systems strengthening at the facility, community, district, and provincial levels.
