Description

The Walking the Walk on Combating Gender-Based Violence in Myanmar will look to support the following set of activities in Myanmar:• Advocacy efforts to increase understanding among local and union level government officials and parliamentarians about legislative actions and budgetary considerations needed to combat gender-based violence • Networking events bringing together civil society organizations and first responders, including police, medical personnel, social service organizations, religious institutions etc., to address service provision challenges and shortfalls• Community advocacy efforts to increase understanding of gender-based violence in urban and rural populations, such as peer to peer education campaigns, community-led dialogues and interventions engaging men and boys
