Description

This project is a cultural resource project; a guiding principle of the National Park Service is to preserve cultural resources for future generations. Maintaining this asset greatly benefits the public by restore a significant component of the Buxton Ranger Station historic landscape. The youth involved in this project will help us to meet the National Call to Action Goals and Centennial Goals. Specifically Goal 2 encourages parks to involve youth in a progression of internships and volunteer experiences that can lead to employment and Goal 7 involves creating the next generation of park stewards. The principal purpose of the project is to benefit the youth involved with this project and not the removal and replacement of the existing fence.
