Description

The Ministry of Health will proactively ensure a comprehensive, coordinated, strategic approach to the HIV response by organizing policies and activities: (1) along the continuum of HIV detection, care and treatment, and support; (2) focusing on specific vulnerable populations; (3) supported by reliable epidemiologic and program data. This FOA facilitates proactive, rapid adoption of normative guidance and PEPFAR guidelines, adequate and quality service delivery, generation and use of high quality data, and successful financing at all levels of government. It supports MOH efforts to align all domestic and international resources in the health sector HIV response for maximum efficiency and effectiveness and collaborate with NIMR to ensure that research data are used to inform policy and practice and with TACAIDS for effective participation in the multisectoral response. This FOA combines and strategically aligns the most important activities from 5 previous MOH cooperative agreements.
