Description

Funds under this single source award are to be used to develop modeling and GIS services for the Western Monarch and Milkweed Habitat Assessment project. Products from this project will include appropriate resolution graphic models of each of the seven species of milkweed, a combined milkweed model, breeding monarch model, and a model based on all non-wintering data. This data and models are also required to be GIS accessible and contain the appropriate metadata for all products. The project is expected to be dynamic in nature, continue in future years pending data and funding, and adapt to the data and potential uses. All data and products are to be forwarded to the Service and the Xerces Society for their use, as well as distribution to partnering agencies and organizations. This award is made under the authority of: Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act of 1958, 16 U.S.C.661.
