Description

The Recipient is a member of the Great Plains Cooperative Ecosystems Study Unit who was awarded a Master Cooperative Agreement P16AC00011 allowing the Conservation and Survey Division, School of Natural Resources, University of Nebraska-Lincoln to participate in specific tasks, and can provide the necessary activities involved in this particular task while providing an effective outcome for NPS and the objectives of this research/educational project. OVERVIEW The Conservation and Survey Division (CSD or Nebraska Geological Survey) Survey will deliver a surficial geologic map to Missouri National Recreation River (MNRR) as part of the National Park Service’s Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI), one of the twelve inventories identified and funded by the NPS Inventory and Monitoring Division. The project will produce detailed surficial geologic maps at the scale of 1:24,000 in the western or “39-mile” district of the MNRR corridor. Fourteen U. S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangles in this area are proposed for mapping, whether in full or in part, during the period 2016-2020.
