Description
This is an announcement for issuing a single source financial assistance award to the College of William and Mary for approximately 3.5 years. The intent of this award is to provide federal financial assistance to conduct a three-year avian community survey of shoreline and marsh areas at Plum Tree Island National Wildlife Refuge in Poquoson, VA. Comprehensive avian data from Plum Tree Island NWR is lacking, and these surveys will be the first systematic data collection of bird usage. Surveys will target rails, fall and spring migrations and breeding birds, but will be conducted in all seasons so that yearly avian use can be determined.
