Description

This collaborative project between the SF Zoo and NPS staff at SEKI is designed to mitigate the effects of Bd on the persistence of high-priority MYLF populations in SEKI by conducting antifungal treatments on infected late-stage tadpoles, rearing them to adult frog size and immunizing them before reintroducing them to the wild. The goal is to produce a sufficient number of immunized juvenile MYLFs to help stabilize dwindling populations or re-establish extirpated populations in at least two SEKI watersheds.
