NIST Research Experience for Teachers (NIST RET) Program
ArchivedNational Institute of Standards and Technology
Description
NIST is soliciting applications from eligible public school districts and accredited private educational institutions in the U.S. and its territories. These eligible institutions would nominate sixth (6th), seventh (7th) and eighth (8th) grade science teachers to participate in the NIST RET Program. The nominated teachers must have completed the NIST Summer Institute for Middle School Science Teachers (NIST Summer Institute) Program prior to being nominated for the NIST RET Program. The NIST RET Program will allow the selected teachers to participate in scientific research with NIST scientists and engineers at the NIST Campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland during the summer of 2017 for six (6) continuous weeks (exact dates to be decided by the teachers and NIST scientists and engineers).
