Description
The US Geological Survey, Wyoming-Montana Water Science Center (WY-MT WSC), is offering a funding opportunity for research to provide the sequencing and analysis of DNA extracted from coal cores and experiments with coal to methane laboratory studies. This work is being done in support of a USGS funded project on the ability of microbial communities to convert coal to methane in the subsurface previously amplified PCR amplicons of the 16S rRNA gene will be barcoded and subjected to multiplex sequencing using the Illumina Miseq sequencing platform.
