Description

The overarching goal of this project is to accelerate progress across the region towards Ending AIDS in West Africa through prevention, care and treatment, and acceleration of achievement of UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets with a focus on Key Populations (KP). By the end of this 5-year activity, indicators related to each of these “90” targets should demonstrate a trend line that has bent towards its goal, amongst all of the focus countries of this activity, and relative improvements across the ECOWAS region, and incidence of HIV infection among KP in targeted countries should be reduced. To achieve its ambitious goals, USAID/WA and its partners must be strategic, deliberate, and innovative in their programming. The #EAWA implementing partner must not work alone or merely alongside other partners, but be integrative – seeking to raise the quantity and quality of all work of all partners in the region to the extent within its means.
