Description

The proposed project will provide financial assistance to conduct the surveys in Iowa for 1 year (to be continued for up to 5 total years). Data collected through this project will be combined with survey efforts throughout the Prairie Pothole Joint Venture area and analyses conducted by HAPET and USGS will inform habitat management and acquisition decisions in the U.S. prairie pothole region and will provide information about the contribution of the National Wildlife Refuge System in Iowa to duck populations.
