Description

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Consulate General Karachi of the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce funding available through the Public Diplomacy Grants program.The Public Affairs Section’s purpose in funding projects under this opportunity is to further Mission Pakistan’s goals of reducing violent extremism and terrorism, increasing economic growth and government capacity, and fostering greater recognition and understanding of American values, culture, and policies in Pakistan. In particular, PAS Karachi seeks to promote diversity awareness, education, good governance, access to information, and entrepreneurship among women, youth, rural government leaders, and civil society actors including educational institutions. Through the above activities, we hope to provide the necessary skills and resources local government and civil society need to create greater opportunity for populations in Sindh and Balochistan provinces. Grant budgets will vary between $10,000 and $75,000, with a project duration of up to one year. Grant activities shall take place only in Sindh and Balochistan provinces.
