Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) received an unsolicited proposal from the Children and Nature Network to provide support for the Natural Leaders Network Legacy Camp program. This opportunity offered under the authority of the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956. The objectives of the project are to support Legacy Camp instructor training and the implementation of 4 regional Legacy Camps. The overall goal is to expand the Natural Leaders Networkâ¿¿s ability to train, support, and mentor young adult leaders to create lasting change in their communities by increasing access to nature. This project is in alignment with the Service's connecting people with nature priority as well as efforts to introduce youth from diverse backgrounds to nature and opportunities in conservation leadership.
