Rehabilitation of the Rainbow Falls Trail

Description
This project is a cooperative endeavor between NPS and ACE for the heavy trail maintenance and rehabilitation of the Rainbow Falls Trail located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.Project work will include, but is not limited to the following: replacement of damaged ineffective water bars and drainage features, removal of trail sloughing from trail tread, major trail corridor brushing, turn-piking of wet areas with both native stone and timbers, rock/boulder removal from trail corridor, construction of native rock and native timber steps and retaining walls, tree removal, and repair of trail tread damage by re-grading the trail with hand tools.
