U.S. University Alumni Fairs in Pune and Indore
ArchivedU.S. Mission to India
Description
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai (PAS Mumbai) seeks proposals for a project entitled “U.S. University Alumni Fairs in Pune and Indore.” Higher education is a major U.S. export, with international students contributing more than $35 billion to the U.S. economy in 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. India is a leading place of origin for international students in the United States. While education fairs featuring representatives of U.S. universities are regular features of the region’s major cities, in particular Mumbai and Ahmedabad, other secondary cities rarely receive U.S. recruiters. This program would address this gap by utilizing on-site “brand ambassadors” of American higher education—Indian alumni of U.S. universities already present in country who can conduct outreach for their alma maters.
