between the University of Maryland and the National Park Service. The University of Maryland is dedicated to creating a learning environment for their student research assistants/students. Together, the National Park Service subject matter experts will provide hands-on experience to research assistants/students to create data for the newly developed NPS CR-GIS spatial data transfer standards and to improve spatial information for the NR and NHL dataset. The University of Maryland will help create, promote and facilitate the public’s understanding of cultural resources spatial data and prepare and disseminate information about these NCR cultural resources through the NPS, CESU, and University website’s, as well as through seminars, conferences and symposia
