Bureau of Land Management

Description

The CSNM Resource Management Plan (RMP) identified the need for inventory, analysis, and monitoring within and about the monument to protect its resources, objects, and values for which the monument was established. This would typically occur through, but is not limited to, inventory and long-term monitoring, and/or biodiversity analysis and studies of birds, the Fisher (Pekania pennanti), Lepidoptera, as well as the Oregon Spotted Frog (Rana pretiosa) and Foothill Yellow-Legged Frog (Rana boylii) that uses an environmental DNA (eDNA) survey method. The BLM seeks to partner under the CSNM program to continue to protect and enhance the lands and resources and inform BLM land management decisions in the best interest of the monument and public.
