Description
The US Geological Survey, Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center (NOROCK), is offering a funding opportunity to conduct a state-wide analysis for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in elk and mule deer. Developing a statistical model of CWD in elk and mule deer will assist in 1) assessing the correlation between species; 2) account for changes in the sampling regime over time; and 3) estimate the effects of habitat on the growth and spread of CWD. The objective will be to construct a statistical model of CWD across Wyoming that accounts for sampling process and estimates the correlation across regions, time and host species at the hunt area scale.
