ArchivedNational Park Service
Description
The National Park Service (NPS) is requesting proposals from potential academic partners to collaborate in a project to update a visitor trail use survey and use assessment tools to determine the current recreational trail use for Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (park) in southern California. The park seeks to understand how recreational trail use is changing in the Santa Monica Mountains by comparing data collected in a 2002 recreational trail use survey to a proposed comparative survey to be conducted in 2018. See Notice of Funding Opportunity for further information.
