CHOH EDUCATION PROGRAM AND SUPPORT
ArchivedNational Park Service
Description
The C&O Canal Classrooms Education Internships Project will provide two youth interns the opportunity to learn and work in a national park, assisting with the Park’s PreK-12 education program. The Park launched the C&O Canal Classrooms education program in 2013. Founded on sustainable practices and building partnerships, the program inspires life-long learning through hands-on, place-based educational programming that aligns with PreK-12 curriculum standards. Education programs are available at a variety of park locations and include classroom extension lessons and STEM activities.
