Description
The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad (PAS Hyderabad) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Arts for Social Change.” Art forms such as theater and musical performances, puppet shows, art exhibitions, film screenings and poetry and literature readings, are powerful vehicles to disseminate messages among diverse groups of audiences. PAS Hyderabad is seeking creative and innovative uses of different artistic mediums to address a variety of social issues including but not limited to education, women’s empowerment, gender-based violence, trafficking in persons, and pluralism, tolerance and inclusion. Through this project, PAS Hyderabad will partner with a grantee to design and implement a series of twenty (20) arts programs and events throughout the Hyderabad Consulate District covering the three states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, that address social issues.
