Uganda USAID-Kampala

Description

Brief Program Description: This three-year activity aims to engage a local organization or consortium of organizations for the purpose of strengthening Ugandan civil society’s ability to contribute to improving the country’s electoral process. USAID/Uganda is designing Citizens Electoral Engagement Activity (CEEA) to enhance local organizations’ ability to conduct civic and voter education and to effectively engage stakeholders to advocate for electoral reform in order to promote sustainable citizen engagement in electoral processes. By further emphasizing the inclusion and participation of youth, women and marginalized populations in these efforts, USAID hopes the electoral and political process will continue to reflect the interest of the typical Ugandan citizen.
