Description

US Geological Survey is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner to develop a synthesis of phenological changes occurring as a result of climate change in the Northwest and an examination of adaptation actions taken in response to these changes. â¿¿Phenologyâ¿¿ refers to the timing of life cycle events of plants and animals and an understanding of how these events are influenced by seasonal and annual variations in climate. Changes in climate conditions can disrupt the timing of natural events including flowering of plants, emergence of insect pollinators, and migration of birds and fish.
