Description
Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Community Fire Assistance was established by the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Act to allow the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to enter into financial assistance agreements with local communities to reduce the risk and impact of catastrophic wildfires. Reduce the risk and impact of wildfire on Idaho communities through wildfire protection planning; hazardous fuels reduction projects, maintenance and monitoring, mitigation and education activities and to enhance local employment opportunities.
