Description

The purpose of this modification is to modify ARTICLE III, Scope of Work and add funding to begin Phase II of this project with the Division of Interpretation and River, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program. This action will also extend the project end date. Phase II will include continuation of traditional interpretation opportunities, as well as introducing opportunities to engage and partner with a variety of local community organizers to assist in building Park Prescription/RX Trails. Intern will have the opportunity to engage in a community park and trail assessment program and assist with the creation of maps identifying neighborhood-walking routes. Intern will have the opportunity to shadow and assist in a variety of types of community assistance work, including help with community planning meetings and youth engagement. Working with community health professionals on the planning and development of a long-term program to engage their patients with trail, plants, and traditional cuisine of the desert people. These ⿿Walk with a Doc⿝ programs may occur at Saguaro National Park and other public lands.
