Description

• Stimulating scientific research that will contribute to the public and scientific community’s understanding of important natural resources. • Sharing the information and products developed by this project through a variety of strategies to increase public awareness, knowledge, and support for stewardship of the nation’s resources. • Providing opportunities for graduate students and early-career scientists to learn about the nation’s resources by spending time working on projects in National Parks. Project participants will gain real-world, hand-on experience, and the NPS receives the indirect benefit of completing resource conservation and protection projects. • Motivating graduate students and early career scientists to become involved in natural resource protection and conservation in their communities and beyond. This project will build resource stewardship ethics in its participants.
