NOTICE of INTENT. On behalf of The Air Force Medical Support Agency, the Department of Interior Acquisition Services Directorate, Interior Business Center will award a single source cooperative agreement to Biomeme, Inc. at 1015 Chestnut Street, Suite 1401, Philadelphia, PA 19107-4316. The intent of this award is to provide for the development, design, refinement, evaluation, and transition of innovative dual-use technologies that will help revolutionize the detection and identification ability of human disease targets for patients possibly exposed to such illness/disease causing pathogens. The Biomeme PCR Device, assays, and sample preparation are currently utilized for molecular detection in an active research project that cannot be fulfilled by other resources. If a different assay manufacturer were to be used, resulting data would not be comparable to the established method of detection and could not be used to substantiate the efficacy of a modified assay that aims to resolve detection shortfalls for current life-threatening illnesses. It is anticipated that award will be made on or before September 30, 2017 with a twenty-four (24) month period of performance. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. This notice is for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government not to compete this action rests solely with the discretion of the Government.
