Description
The purpose of this project is to conduct research resulting in a Historic Furnishings Report (HFR), including an integrated Historic Furnishings Plan (HFP), for Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site, National Capital Parks-East. A further purpose is to begin the research needed to implement the Historic Furnishings Plan part of the HFR. Development of a HFR for the Mary McLeod Bethune Council House NHS supports NACE's mission through interpretation of the Council House, historic research, education, and resource management programs. The primary purpose of this study is not the acquisition of property or services for the direct benefit or use by the Federal Government, but rather to accomplish a public purpose of support or stimulation.
