Description

Hanoi Medical University (HMU) is mandated by Vietnam Ministry of Health (MOH) as the national primary health workforce training and research institution in the health sector. This NOFO will support HMU to expand and sustain institutional capacity within Vietnam to coordinate and implement evaluations, operations, and management of HIV/AIDS and other public health programs as well as to effectively respond to health system strengthening (HSS) needs. Specifically, HMU will: Strengthen the capacity of Vietnam’s health system to better identify and implement public health monitoring, epidemiological modelling, need assessments, and evaluation and enhance the utilization of evaluation and research results for evidence-based program planning, interventions, and policy development. Expand and sustain local capacity to provide technical assistance (TA) and strengthen TA network for HIV/AIDS and other public health programs through training, mentoring, accrediting, and information sharing. Collaborate on design, delivery, and monitoring of HSS projects that address systemic issues such as health financing and costing, health workforce management, service delivery, medical products and technologies, governance, public health curriculum development and training, and laboratory systems strengthening.
