Description

This is a notice of intent to award four single source cooperative agreements without competition under justification 505DM 2.14.B.4 in the total approximate amount of $468,288.36. The four single source award are as follows: 1) Lake County Parks in the approximate amount of $109,697.04. A total of six burns units will be completed with this agreement. 2) Indiana Department of Natural Resources in the approximate amount of $118,233.89. A total of six burns units will be completed with this agreement. 3) Shirley Heinze Land Trust in the approximate amount of $21,400.39. A total of three burns units will be completed with this agreement. 4) The Nature Conservancy in the approximate amount of $218,957.04. A total of ten burns units will be completed with this agreement. Competition for these awards is not practical as these recipients are uniquely qualified to perform the activities of the project based on a variety of factors. The selected recipients have been chosen for meeting the following merit requirements: possession of qualifications sufficient to conduct the proposed activities or ability to obtain them; experience conducting this type of work; adequate resources to carry out the proposed activities or ability to procure them; understanding of project goals to implement the work in a manner that achieves service goals; and a track record of adequately completing projects and providing reports in a timely manner.
