Description
The GBI Horticulture Research Associates will assist the horticulturist and resource management staff with orchard management and vegetation management for the orchards in the Fruita Rural Historic District in Capitol Reef National Park. The intern will receive daily oversight and guidance from CAREâ¿¿s horticulturist. Orchard management activities will consist of assisting with insect and pest monitoring, implementing integrated pest management strategies, cover crop management, and tree care such as pruning and irrigation.
