Description

To monitor the responses of elk, mule deer, and black bear to forest restoration treatments associated with the Southwest Jemez Mountains Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Project (SWJM-CFLRP). This project has three broad aims: 1) provide data for an adaptive management framework to guide the progress of treatment plans in the Jemez Mountains CFLRP; 2) determine the long-term influences of restoration treatments on large mammals and habitat conditions in Jemez Mountains project area; and 3) provide essential data for more informed development of future forest restoration initiatives in the Southwest.
